First "Dan in Real Life" pictures

From saving the world to saving his love life. "Dan in Real Life" is a new romantic comedy with Almighty Steve Carell, Juliette Binoche, Dane Cook and other fine actors. You can read the full synopsis while thinking what Carell might be playing with Am:
Follows a widower (Carell) with three daughters who writes a parenting column for his local newspaper. His strict rules for behavior are tested when he falls for the girlfriend (Binoche) of his younger brother (Cook).

"I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry" stills

Is Hollywood running out of ideas? I mean, "I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry" looks like an unofficial remake of a french comedy "Le Placard". Veber's movie was hilarious without being stupid or overdone, and I truly recommend it. I don't think "Chuck and Larry" will be half as entertaining.

New "American Gangster" photo

We all know "American Gangster" is this year's "Little Miss Departed". Ridley Scott, Denzel (who looks great in his 52), Russell Crowe and Josh Brolin. How can this be a letdown?

"Cassandra's Dream" key art

And this, my friends, is the newest poster with floating faces of Farrell and McGregor for Woody Allen's thriller / drama "Cassandra's Dream". A lot of people really underappreciate Allen's cinematic abilities. Well, maybe "Scoop" wasn't a masterpiece, but I'm damn sure "Match Point" was. Really looking forward "Cassandra's Dream", which release for some unknown reason is being delayed. Here's synopsis:
The story of two Cockney brothers (Farrell and McGregor) in south London and their relationship with a young woman (Atwell) who lands in London on her search for fortune. She crosses the two men by accident on her path and when one of them falls in love with her, she becomes aware of her power to attract the opposite sex and uses this to the point of leading the two brothers, who are in financial difficulty, into crime, and creating a dangerous rivalry between the two men.

Evolution of John McClaine

Many disagree, but I believe "Die Harder" is the best of the bunch with the original coming close second. The third one was shit. So, at last we have a PG-13 "Die Hard 4.0", and know what? It is not a bad movie. It was over the top at times, it had a stupid "no one remembers heroes" speech, the villain was weak and it felt too busy long in the end. Yes, but it also had exciting stunts, good ol' John, a sidekick, surprisingly well-played by Justin Long and... to hell with it. I'm just saying despite flaws it was an enjoyable film, but far from being a great "Die Hard". 6/10 is a fair mark.

Now, wiping a tear of nostalgia, lets go back and revise John McClaine's character.

"Rush Hour 3" stills

I still don't think "Rush Hour 3" is a good idea. The first one was entertaining enough, the second part was mediocre, and it seems this installment is just same jokes in a different setting. Take a look at the photos and tell me I'm wrong!

Images from the Coens' "No Country For Old Men"

I like the Coens, but sadly must admit they haven't made a decent movie since "Fargo" (with the exception of "The Man Who Wasn't There" which was a solid work). Seems like with "No Country" they finally returned back to their roots. The film premiered in Cannes this year and although left without awards, it got great reviews. Cool. Not cool however is that the release is scheduled only for November in the US. Other countries will have to wait until 2008. Well, what can you do...

"The Bourne Ultimatum" stills

The only time I got migraine from watching a movie was when I witnessed Greengrass' disastrous "Bourne Supremacy". This experience I wouldn't like to repeat. So, now we're on the verge of "Bourne Ultimatum" - who the fuck asked for it? Not me.

This however won't restrain me from posting 10 sweet images from the flick.
