I'm not familiar with the director, but synopsis for "August Rush" sounds intriguing. Casting includes young prodigy Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and an amazing actor who should fire his agent for participating in "Man of the Year", "RV" and probably "License to Wed" - Robin Williams.

Performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents (Rhys Meyers and Russell) from whom he was separated at birth.

Though Owen looks pretty bad-ass in "The Golden Age", I'm still not looking forward to seeing it. I hate period pieces, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Wow, there is a new movie with DiCaprio and it's not made by Scorsese?! Bite me! Well, even without Martin "Revolutionary Road" screams "Oscar", but, apparently, not this year's. December the 19, 2008 seems to be the release date. If you want to know what's this all about, here's a copy-paste synopsis:

Follows a seemingly happy suburban couple with two children in the mid-1950s who find themselves caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform -- with explosive consequences.

First official "The Kite Runner" still

I have no idea what to expect from "The Kite Runner". I vaguely know it's an adaptation af a book with the same name, but it's very suitable to have Internet and here's what it has to say:

"An epic tale of fathers and sons, of friendship and betrayal, that takes us from the final days of Afghanistan's monarchy to the atrocities of the Taliban reign."

The film will get theatrical run in USA this november - the "Oscar" season.
