Here's a definition of "underrated" - "Cop Land". A modern masterpiece with one of the greatest casts ever assembled: Stallone as a half-deaf sheriff, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Janeane Garofalo, Robert Patrick... And if you think Stallone sucks here, think again. And again. And again. Until you realise he doesn't, but you probably do. But enough with grumbling, enjoy the imagery!

"Jackie Brown" may not be Quentin's best work, but is certainly an enjoyable movie with a distinctive early 90's feel to it. And that's how De Niro, Jackson and Tarantino looked like 10 years ago.

Evolution of John McClaine

Many disagree, but I believe "Die Harder" is the best of the bunch with the original coming close second. The third one was shit. So, at last we have a PG-13 "Die Hard 4.0", and know what? It is not a bad movie. It was over the top at times, it had a stupid "no one remembers heroes" speech, the villain was weak and it felt too busy long in the end. Yes, but it also had exciting stunts, good ol' John, a sidekick, surprisingly well-played by Justin Long and... to hell with it. I'm just saying despite flaws it was an enjoyable film, but far from being a great "Die Hard". 6/10 is a fair mark.

Now, wiping a tear of nostalgia, lets go back and revise John McClaine's character.

C'mon, people. This is the real deal. Not to sound pretentious, but I have a vast collection of HQ images from classic movies (10 GB to be exact). From Bergman's, Tarkovsky's and Jean-Luc Godard's works to "Die Hard" and "Usual Suspects". You name it! And along with stuff from new releases I'm going to post stills from old films. Simple as that.

Think I'll start with "The Silence of the Lambs". Hopkins and Foster really kicked some ass back in 1991.
